In 2006, Clearstone Venture Partners formed Clearstone Ventures Mauritius (CVM), a Private Company incorporated in the Republic of Mauritius, as its investment vehicle in India. Clearstone Ventures Mauritius operates under a Category 1 Global Business License issued by FSC (Financial Services Commission in Mauritius). It is also registered as an FVCI (Foreign Venture Capital Investor) with the SEBI (The Securities and Exchange Board of India) in India, and is permitted to make direct investments into Indian companies subject to the terms and conditions laid out by SEBI and the RBI (Reserve Bank of India).

Clearstone Venture Advisors Pvt. Ltd. was also founded in 2006 as an independent advisor to Clearstone Venture Mauritius, with offices in Bangalore and Mumbai. Rahul Khanna, director, began operations there at the end of 2005 and came to us after 12 years of operating experience in telecommunications and media in the US and India. Clearstone Venture Advisors is our primary office for meeting entrepreneurs in India and evaluating their ideas for investment consideration.
